RE/MAX ADDS 62nd COUNTRY - SLOVAKIA

(Greenwood Village, Colo., Nov. 16, 2005) – Expansion of RE/MAX International continues as Slovakia becomes the 62nd country for operations of the global real estate franchise.

Richard Chury, a native of the country is now regional director of RE/MAX Slovakia and brings with him an extensive background in sales and marketing with Sony Slovakia, launching Playstation there as well as GSM telephones and the recording media. He attended the University of Economics in Bratislava, is a former marathon runner and is married with one son.

The country became independent on January 1, 1993 when Czechoslovakia split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Joining both NATO and the EU in the spring of 2004, the country’s major privatizations are nearing completion, the banking sector is almost completely in foreign hands, and the government has helped facilitate a foreign investment boom with business-friendly policies. Slovakia's economic growth exceeded expectations in 2001-04, despite the general European slowdown.
