RE/MAX Malta attends Regional Directors meeting in Marbella, Spain. Two Letting Agents promoted to Letting Branch managers.

Recently at The Westin La Quinta Golf Resort, Marbella, Spain - RE/MAX Malta regional directors attended a meeting where they met up with colleagues from around the world to discuss latest trends in the Real Estate Market and targets for the last quarter of 2006. Attending the meeting was special guest Dave Liniger, Chairman & founder of RE/MAX, who announced with great gratitude to the European regional directors that the RE/MAX network has just reached the milestone of 120, 000 associates in 63 countries and with the growth rate achieved the RE/MAX advertising budget for 2007 will be 1.5 billion USD.
Speaking at the meeting Mr. Liniger stated ”The larger the RE/MAX network grows the more advertising will be spent on the brand to ensure Market prominence in every region that we are present”. “Besides spending more on advertising we will continue to invest in real estate programs for our associates so to enhance the service that our customers experience”
As part of one of the workshops during the three day meeting, designs for a new RE/MAX Europe corporate Identity as well as an aggressive Marketing Strategy for 2007 was presented. Sabine Hacker, Manager for Marketing & Communications at RE/MAX Europe explained that in the year 2007, RE/MAX plan to roll out European-wide advertising campaigns to create a stronger brand profile. Previously, RE/MAX has sponsored Formula one, FIS skiing, European Football games and other high profile events, however in 2007 along with these types of sponsorships there will be much more.
On a sad note, Bill Soteroff, Managing Director and COO of RE/MAX Europe, will be moving to RE/MAX International where he will be based in Denver, Co and will be taking up the position of Senior Vice President, International Operations. A 13 year veteran of RE/MAX, Bill Soteroff was in the driving seat at RE/MAX Europe for 5 years where he achieved many feats. During his time RE/MAX has grown to 8,700 sales associates in 44 regions with more than 1,400 franchises in 31 countries. Mr. Soteroff will be replaced by Chuck Lemire, a 20 year veteran in the Real Estate Industry of which 10 years he has spent with RE/MAX.
Other news from RE/MAX Malta is that two letting associates, Edward Agius and Jason Cornthwaite were promoted to Branch Letting Managers for the Sliema and St. Julian’s offices respectively. “The two newly appointed letting Branch Managers will be both managing a team of Letting associates. There has been an increase in demand and we feel that Edward and Jason have the charisma and ability to do a great job of handling and increasing our business accordingly” stated Jeffrey Buttigieg, Regional Director of RE/MAX Malta.
