Thursday, 1st February 2007 marked another milestone in the RE/MAX Malta history. A total of forty-five persons attended the company Annual General Meeting & awards night which was hosted at the Westin Dragonara Ball room in St. Julian’s
The meeting kicked off with a short video display of the recent Skiing World Championship sponsored by RE/MAX Europe recently in Wengen, Switzerland, which followed by an opening speech by the Managing Director, Kevin Buttigieg. Mr. Buttigieg praised the team and thanked them for the important role they played during 2006 and continued with outlaying the business plan and strategy for 2007. He expressed the importance of real estate education and the superior service to RE/MAX Malta customers and reiterated that in order to continue with steady growth all company members must be persistent in abiding by the RE/MAX code of ethics, FEA code of ethics and practices in all situations that may arise. “This Company was built around the business philosophy of always putting our customers first. You are all professionals and we as a team will only continue to achieve this success by providing a superior service” he continued. “By building on these foundations we cannot help but feel encouraged to reach our new targets as set for this year, however we need to nurture and keep working hard at always improving ourselves as this will certainly be our guarantee for continued company growth”.
The meeting followed with a presentation of the 2006 figures by Mr. Joseph P Theuma, company General Manager and the unveiling of the new technology suite that RE/MAX Malta which shall be introducing in the near future.
The figures showed that the company surpassed its targets for 2006, most significantly for it major increase in sales in the low to medium price brackets and a significant increase in property letting figures. Commenting on the subject, Mr. Theuma stated “Our popularity in the market, allowing us to reach all socio-demographic markets, whether low, medium or high end, as well as our stronghold on the letting market is easily the two major factors contributing for yet another impressive year of increased returns”
As tradition, towards the end of the evening the Top Performer’s of the year were given their respective awards. The Winners were; Edward Agius, Sliema office - Property Letting Inspections, Marlene Conti, St. Paul’s bay office – Property Sales Inspections, Edward Agius, Sliema office – Top Performer Property Letting and Michael Bonello, Sliema Office, Top Performer Property sales. The prize winners were given a plaque as a note of recognition as well as 2 free flights to anywhere in Europe. The evening ended with a cocktail reception.
