Buying a home with a garden isn’t an easy job. For one it is a known fact that there is a premium to be paid due to these properties being a few and far between. In Malta, a garden is quite a luxury to have - especially if you are looking in the more built up areas. In Towns like Valletta, Marsascala, Sliema or St. Julian’s homes with gardens are practically non-existent though when they do come available and priced correctly are snatched up immediately.
One is more likely to find a home with a garden in the more suburban areas of Malta such as Swieqi, Madliena, Mellieha, Balzan, Attard, Siggiewi, Marsaxlokk and their neighbouring villages.
Benefits of a Home with Garden
Besides the fact that the scarcity of these types of homes assist in keeping the price of your property stable, there are many other benefits to owning a home with Garden. Children love playing in the garden and this keeps their memories close to home. If you ever meet someone that previously lived in a home with a garden and today own an apartment they will tell you how much they loved their home life and would revert back to those days with a flick of a finger.
Gardens also have the benefit of being in a position to entertain. No matter what your house may look like inside having an outdoor life at home is relaxing. Summer evening barbecues with friends and families or the chance to get some fresh whilst air counting the stars at night from a deck chair is somewhat desirable thought which can become a reality.
Then there are those people that have green fingers. Gardening is one of the more healthy pastimes. It not only allows you to grow fresh fruit and vegetables it gets you out of the house and into the fresh air. It can also be educational.
