Gozo is a gem to anyone that lays their eyes on the beautiful sister Island of Malta. It is a much quieter Island thanks to the fact that it is very green and there is space or rather ample land between it's villages. The Island is a perfect place where one can really sit back and relax, either at their own home if you've purchased a property in Gozo or in one of the especially equipped rental homes available around the Island. The sea is practically walking distance from anywhere on the Island though it is still recommended to rent a car. Views are spectacular, especially from Dwejra Bay where one can see the Azure Window.
There is also a very good entertainment life in Gozo. Some of the restaurants are exquisite offering a variety of local cuisine as well as meditteranean cuisine. There are plenty of British style pubs, cafe's as well as night clubs that are located all around the Island. A few of the restaurants are even listed as one of the best of the Islands through the 'Definitely Good Guide to Restaurants' which is published yearly.
The selection of properties is vast from standard apartments to the most sought after farmhouses with pool. All located either internally, with views or even directly on the coastal promenade. Other property types include maisonettes, bungalows as well as villas with or without swimming pool. The standard of property in Gozo is very high. With projects such as Fort Chambray and The Kempinski Residences being developed of recent, all new properties are attempting to achieve the high standard benchmark of quality finish.
Prices are relatively still low compared to the Maltese property market and this has been a major selling point for many foreign investors that are finding out about the hidden treasure of Gozo. Celebrities such as Billy Connelly, the wife of Bruce Willis amongst others own their own properties in Gozo or visit the Island on a regular basis. Although you don't really hear about it when they are there, that's probably the main reason that the do come to Gozo.
